NON-RECOGNISED TRAINING
The Young Driver Development Program designed by DRM enhances the safety of newly licensed drivers. DRM has an innovative approach to developing the skills, knowledge, and attitude of drivers, focusing on behavioural change and adopting the outlook of “what else can I do to make driving safer for everyone”.
DRM focuses on identifying and improving skills that a driver utilises every day. We take a risk management approach to elevate hazard identification and formulation of management plans to avoid the need for emergency driving manoeuvres.
Training consists of a theory and on-road component with practical application of the learned principles.
Courses are conducted within Driver Risk Management’s dedicated Driver Training facility, located 24 Century Road, Malaga WA and led by our team of experienced trainers.
Participants in this non-recognised training will be issued a Certificate of Attendance and provided with a feedback form detailing, identified strengths, weaknesses and corrections undertaken for their driving.
This Pro-Active focus is of significant value to young or new drivers. Influencing them positively at an early stage of their development will reduce likelihood of at risk behaviours whilst driving a vehicle.
Training Covers:
Understanding the safety issues
Anticipation, response and survival
Braking & ABS familiarisation
Basic vehicle maintenance and serviceability
Training aims to enhance the capability of the driver to avoid hazards in all driving environments.
DRM Trainers may be mobilised offsite or attend any suitable location to accommodate organisational needs. In addition, courses may be customised to ensure delivery aligns with any operational requirement
