NON-RECOGNISED TRAINING
It doesn’t matter if you are hooking up the caravan to head off on the adventure of a lifetime, towing a trailer for work purposes or just tow a trailer occasionally for recreational reasons – this course will be of benefit to you.
Driver Risk Management’s Towing and Reversing courses are conducted over a period of four hours and aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of drivers so they can tow a trailer/ caravan/ horse float or boat on the road and manoeuvrer it safely to park up.
Training consists of an in-class presentation at our dedicated Driver Training facility, located 16 Grogan Road Perth Airport, WA, covering the theory associated with a towing task. Once completed, our instructor will review the practical components of the training and explain the exercises to be conducted. Driver Risk Management schedules the course to meet demand, usually equating to once per month and may be executed any day – Monday to Sunday. Participants are encouraged to bring their own vehicles and trailer, caravan, boat or float for the practical activity to familiarise themselves with their own equipment. Alternatively, DRM can supply a suitable vehicle and trailer to use throughout the training. Please advise if this is required. Participants are welcome to swap drivers within their vehicle to share the driving.
