This dual competency involves the skills and knowledge required to maintain the safety of and to operate a commercial vehicle across a variety of job roles.
It includes monitoring traffic and associated equipment, managing vehicle condition and performance, and effectively managing hazardous situations. It applies to those working in operational roles to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.
We use our unique approach, the Six Steps to Pro-Active Driving™, to enhance the skills that drivers need to use every day to be safe whilst operating vehicles on and off the road.
The one-day course consists of in-class theory, followed by a practical on road application of skills. A written and practical assessment is required and upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a formal statement of attainment.
DRM Trainers may be mobilised offsite or attend any suitable location to accommodate organisational needs. In addition, courses may be customised to ensure delivery aligns with any operational requirement.
